My life in a nutshell at:

Fifteen years ago: Hmm, let’s see. I would have been 2 almost 3. I honestly don’t remember what life was like for me then. I seem to remember something about wanting to do school because my brothers (4 and 6 years older than me) were doing school; I was not to be left behind or left out.

Ten years ago: I was 7 almost 8. I hadn’t a care in the world. I had school, and I played. It was a wonderful life. I look at some girls around that age now, and sadly sigh. They’re dressing like little teenagers out to get the boys already. I had no such thoughts, and I didn’t dress like I did. I think I wore a lot of pink. Everything had to be pink. I was a girls color, after all.

Five Years ago: I was 12 almost 13. Scary numbers, those are.

Last year: I was 16 almost 17. Lots of interests, ideas, concerns. I was still the same, and hopefully improved in many ways. Growing up was a scary idea, but I couldn’t stop time. I was the junior class VP, a group I really liked being in.

Yesterday: I was 17, nearing 18. I’m still growing, and still being little every day. I’m the reporter in my senior class, a group I still really like being in. I’m the youngest one in Sunday small group. I had just as many interests, ideas, and concerns as before, though they may be different.

Next week: I will still be a jumbled mess, possibly with even more interests, ideas, and concerns. I will still be busy, scared of adulthood, and unable to stop time. The sun will rise, and the day will be beautiful because God made it. He is in control of my life, and hopefully, that will be firmer in my mind next week.

  1. Hmm. Next week I will look back at this post in horror! I do not write about myself and my life well. I write better fiction than I write my life.
