Narnia!!!
I saw the new movie today! It was great! Now I’m reading the book again, and can’t focus on school because I’m still thinking about the movie. Most of you are probably familiar with the story, and I’d like to talk about it.
Read at your own risk!
I’m used to the old series where they were all closer in age, Susan was a blonde, the White Witch had black hair (that made sense instead of the craziness of her hair in this movie), and all the animals were very human (because they were people in animal-looking suits). So, visually, it took some getting used to for me, although it was good. I didn’t like the White Witch’s dresses. The skirt part was okay, but the top part was just wierd. The animals were very cool in this one.
Of course, the story was great. I liked how they did it. heh, I don’t really know what else to say. If you’ve seen the movie, what did you think of it?

I haven’t seen it, but Tim has. He saw it with his friend. But from the previews I already don’t like how the witch looks. From the books I had always pictured here as being beautiful, but in the movie I think they made her look ugly. I really want to see it, but probably won’t until it goes to the dollar theater.

Yay! It was awesome! I really liked how they had a lot of direct quotes from the book. And I thought them keeping the Father Christmas scene, with the multiple “Merry Christmas”’s, was very interesting in light of all that’s going on with “Happy Holidays”, etc. Of course, there were some scenes that they changed or left out, and that made me sad, but not too much. I didn’t quite like the White Witch’s acting, and I think that it wasn’t all as dramatic as it could have been, but overall I still really liked it. I want to see it again!!

It was absolutely great! I loved it! They really did a good job–better than most movies that come from books.
