It’s a Jester

That’s right, a court jester. That’s the costume I’ll be wearing tomorrow for a party. My question to you is: How should I do my hair? I have approxamately 24 hours to come up with something. Here is the restriction: I have to be able to do it (and preferably it not take very long). So what do you think? Leave a comment, email me, call me, or send me an IM. I will consider ideas. (oh, one more thing. I don’t have a hat. :-( )

“A jester? A jester. A funny idea a jester!”

  1. Do your hair in 3 ponytails: 1 on each side and 1 in the back, all at about the same height.

  2. What’s the quote from?

  4. Hmm, use my hair to make a hat, huh?

The quote is from the movie “The Court Jester” starring Danny Kay. It’s in a song he sings (as a jester for a king). ;)

  5. I agree with Bethany. You should do your hair in three ponytails. For the Fall Festival at our church I am going as Eowen(?) from Lord of the Rings with a dress that I made last year.

  6. thanks for the idea, girls. I tried it and think I would like it better if my hair was a bit shorter and less poofy/frizzy. I came up with something else that I’m going to do. Two braids (middle-ish height, back of the head), criss-cross them, and tuck the right one back under the right one and same thing on the left side. *Maybe* (add emphasis) I’ll get a picture to show you my costume and hair.

Thanks though for your imput! :-)

  7. Ooh–I love “The Court Jester”! I could quote it all day. “A jester unemployed is nobody’s fool.” I hope you had a great time at your party.

  8. Thanks for commenting Shannon! Yeah, I did have a good time! Norman and I places tissue-paper-covered tootsiepops around a playground for a ghost hunt for the people at the party. It was fun. and there was **LOTS** of candy, fun people, people I didn’t know, people who wondered if I could really juggle ;-) and just a lot of fun. :D hehe Thanks all of you for taking an interest!

Shannon, you wouldn’t know if that movie is available on DVD anywhere would you? (and if so how much $ ?) I wish I had the jester song memorized; that could’ve been fun at the party.

  9. Yes, it is on DVD–my uncle bought it (at Best Buy, I think) for my family last Christmas. The back cover says www.paramount.com/homevideo.
“Take that nincompoop and knight that nincompoop by noon tomorrow!” (I just couldn’t resist quoting it again. :D )
